    Obituary: Darlene Hattie Henderson, June 6, 1943, to Aug. 6, 2018

    Darlene Hattie Henderson, 75, passed peacefully surrounded by family Monday, Aug. 6. Darlene was loved by all and will be missed greatly. Dar loved tending her garden and keeping her hummingbird feeders full. She loved quilting for her family and friends. Services will be held Friday, Aug. 10, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Gypsum at 6:30 p.m. She is survived by her husband, five children, 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

    Luanne Marie Raun Smith passed away peacefully at her home at Brookdale Park Place on Thursday, Aug. 2, 2018, with Dr. Ronald Lee Smith, her husband of 62 years. He was by her side the last two years while she was in the Brookdale Hospice program. Luanne was born July 18, 1935, in Omaha, Nebraska, and was raised in nearby Walthill, Nebraska, with her parents Alfred and Marie Raun and her sister, Patricia Ann Raun Samuelson, who preceded her in death. He graduated from Fort Collins High School, and took great pride in being a native of Fort Collins. Immediately after graduation, Ray was drafted into the Army and was assigned to be a surgical technician on ships bringing home the wounded in World War II.
