Abeln, Frederick Anthony

frederick-abeln72, of Conifer, died on March 6, 2016 at Swedish Medical Center after a battle with lung cancer. Fred was born to John and Veronica Abeln on Jan 8, 1944.  After serving in the Army, Fred made Conifer his home.  Fred made his living building cabinets in a small shop at his home and his work is the pride of many homeowners in the Evergreen/Conifer area.  

Fred was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed archery, fishing, hunting, camping, cutting and splitting wood to heat the house and always enjoyed a round of cribbage with friends. Fred also loved a ride on his beloved Harley Davidson. 

Survivors include his wife Cora (Ramler) Williams, brother, Jerry Abeln (wife Liz), sister Lorraine (husband Jack) Werner, nieces, Sue Abeln, Julie Smith (husband Dan), Joannie Abeln and Vicky Heidmamn.

Fred was preceded in death by his father and mother John and Veronica Abeln, brother Melvin Abeln, nephew Gary Abeln,  and his precious dogs,  Linden,  Coco, and Murphy. 

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The American Cancer Society.
