Karen Wray

Karen Jeanne Langreder Wray, 62, went to be with her lord and savior Jesus Christ on March 24, 2014. She was born on January 26th 1952 in Chicago, Illinois to Frederick James and Jeanette Leona Linke. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse specializing in Neonatal ICU, babies born addicted to drugs, and Labor and Delivery. Karen was involved in food ministries in Show Low, AZ and Great Blessings Ministry she opened with her husband Earl in Canon City, Colorado as well as the Ladies Prayer Ministry at church, and the pregnancy centers in both Show Low and Canon City. Karen began her own internet prayer ministry reaching to people around the world while being bed confined and having the use of only one hand, she still wanted to help others in any way she could. A member of Canon Community Baptist Church, Karen was active in the church functions and her love of Jesus Christ was very important to her. Karen is survived by children Sean (Nicole) Langreder and Aaron (Julie) Langreder, grandchildren Brody, Zoi, Alandra, Kyle, Wayne and Jobe, and sister Janette (Greg) Doss. She leaves behind many dear friends and relatives, and her special cats Rosie, Greyce, and Baby Kitty. She was preceded in death by husbands Earl Langreder and Charles Wray, mother Jeanne, and father Fred. Visitation will be on Saturday March 29th, 2014 from 10am – 11am prior to services at 11am at Canon Community Baptist Church, 1111 Monroe in Canon City. After services Karen will be laid to rest at Lakeside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Karen requested memorial donations be made to Canon City Pregnancy Center or the Canon City Humane Society. All arrangements will be through Holt Funeral Home. Karen and her family would like to give a special thank you to Pearle, Tammi, and Ivan at Amazing Grace Congregate home for the love and care they gave Karen and making her so comfortable. Karen will always be remembered for her selfless care for others always putting them ahead of her own needs and desires. She has always been there for everybody else even when suffering with her own condition. Karen was always concerned for others and even in the end tried to help her friends and loved ones through their difficult times. Karen was an awesome influence on her family always reminding us of right from wrong, keeping us on the path to God, and being the anchor to our family. You are loved and will be missed more than we could ever show you mom. We are glad to see you free and finally getting what you have always deserved to have, your life in Heaven.
