Janet passed away peacefully on April 23, 2016, at Life Care Center of Evergreen, CO. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Janet was born on December 30, 1927, in Savannah, Georgia, and raised in West Virginia. She was the 3rd child of the late Hugh and Celeste Ash (Holdsworth). She was married to William Delbert Blough on December 31, 1950 in Las Vegas, NV.
Janet was preceded in death by her husband, sisters Jean and Caroline and parents.
As a young woman Janet worked for the FBI in Washington, D.C. as a clerk. From there she and a dear friend decided to set out on an adventure and moved to Los Angeles. In L.A. she worked as a bank officer and met her future husband. Once married, they moved to Anchorage, AL, where she continued working in the banking industry until they returned to southern CA. Her family moved to Watsonville, CA in 1959. In 1968 she received her real estate license where she continued to work in the industry until 2005. In 1970 the family moved to Trinity Center to enjoy a quieter life. Janet loved being very involved in the local Trinity Lake Lions Club, worked as the Community Services secretary, and notary. She loved to travel, enjoying trips to Egypt, England, France and Italy. Her greatest passion was painting and having a tomato garden.
Janet is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Michael Obleski of Evergreen, CO; son and daughter-in-law, Curt and Gwen Blough of Horseshoe Bend, ID; grandchildren Mackenzie Obleski of Evergreen, CO; Benjamin Blough of Chico, CA and Zachery Blough of Boise, Idaho. Her brother and sister-in-law, Hugh and Ruth Ash of Rancho Mirage, CA; nieces Susan Capurro of Corralitos, CA, Beth Rebholtz of Boise, ID and Bonnie Blough of Los Angeles, CA; nephews John Blough of Redmond, WA, Maurice Bouffioux of New Carlisle, OH and Michael Bouffioux of Lancaster, OH
Grave site services will be held on May 6, 2016, at 3:00 p.m., Trinity Center Cemetery.
